Stage of Seasons
The Nathan Frank Memorial Bandstand, a timeless symbol of Forest Park's rich history, stands surrounded by fiery red maple trees, illuminated by the golden light of a fall morning. The site originally featured a wooden bandstand built when the park opened in 1876, which became one of the most photographed structures of the 1904 World’s Fair. After the original was lost to storm and fire, the current marble and bronze bandstand was built and completed in 1925, a gift from St. Louis lawyer Nathan Frank. Its Renaissance design and storied past continue to make it a beloved landmark in the heart of Forest Park.
