Rise Up, Rowdy (Limited Edition)

from $50.00

This photo of Grizzly 399 and her final COY, Rowdy (or Spirit), is very symbolic. It represents how Rowdy (or Spirit) must now rise up to carry on the legacy of 399. Grizzly 399 was fatally struck by a vehicle in the Snake River Canyon and killed on October 22, 2024. At the time of this writing, the whereabouts of Grizzly 399’s yearling cub, Rowdy (or Spirit), are currently unknown. At 28 years old; Grizzly 399 was one of only 12 known grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem to reach the age of 28 or older, representing 0.6% of all bears documented and aged by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team since 1973 as part of the long-term research program.

This image is part of a Limited Edition series of 50 prints + 5 artist proofs, across all mediums and sizes.
